School Start Time – 7:45am-3:15pm

Hello to All!

First let me thank you all for your patience!  It goes without saying that this has been a very difficult time for many in our community, state and nation.  As we get ready to start a new school year, the safety and well being of your child will be of the utmost importance to us at McCord.  With that being said, our district will have a plan for you in the very near future.  Everyone is working diligently to get this done.  Since we did not get to have Pre-K registration, Kindergarten and 1st Grade registration for new students in the Spring, I would like to get packets out and ready for pick up on Saturday through Tuesday, July 25th through July 28th.    Below is the procedure we would like for you to follow for packet pick ups:

SATURDAY, JULY 25th through TUESDAY, JULY 28th       8:00 am  through  6:00 pm

There will be 2 filing cabinets outside of the front door of McCord Elementary. Please take the packet(s) needed for your child.  At this time, the plan is to have a staggered return of the forms  to follow social distancing for everyone’s protection. Please bring with you your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, social security card, parent identification and for Pre-K, we will need proof of income for the month of July.  We are doing our best to streamline the process for returning the forms to alleviate large groups being together for an extended period of time. With that being said, we would ask that you wear a mask when you return the forms as we will do the same.

RETURN OF PACKETS:  Enter SOUTH end of McCord (Entrance 15) in the cafeteria.  Staff will be there to assist you.  We will have chairs separated at a safe distance and ask that you be seated and someone will assist you.  Please try to follow the time schedule below for your child’s packet return:

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29TH    8:30 - 12:00  AND    1:00 - 3:30

If you are not able to return packets on this day, please call the school to set up an appointment.  The school number is 940-553-4381.

Again, thanks for your patience and we look forward to seeing your children at McCord Elementary.
