Tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 2, is the 100th day of our 2023-24 school year, and the 1st graders at McCord got a jump on the celebration. Each student made an autograph book and was tasked with getting autographs from 100 of their classmates. They were definitely enjoying the project this afternoon.
We apologize for the delay. Here is the VISD Cafeteria Menu for February.

In just four short months the 2023-24 school year will be over and pre-k youngsters in our community will be heading off to kindergarten. There are certain skills youngsters should know as they move into kindergarten. Along with teachers going over these skills in pre-k, our hope is that parents will work on these skills with their children at home. The goal of sharing this information is to help better prepare our future Lions for kindergarten!

With area school districts closing due to low attendance, we want our parents and community to know that while Vernon ISD has seen an uptick in absences due to the illnesses that are circulating, our attendance rate has not dropped to the level of closing school.
With the flu and other illnesses hitting the area pretty hard over the last week or two, here are some quick reminders for our VISD parents when they have a sick child.
