Our Lions Spirit Pep Rally will be held Thursday morning as the players prepare for their Class 3A, D1 Area Playoff clash with Denver City. The dress up theme for the day is "Twin Day" as the theme for the pep rally is "Make the Mustangs See Double!" The pep rally will begin at 9:25 a.m., Thursday, at D.O. Fulton Gym.
Our Lions are moving on to the 2nd round of the Class 3A, D1 Playoffs!! They will meet Denver City in the Area Round. The game is set for 7 p.m., Thursday, at Happy State Bank Stadium in Canyon. Information on how to purchase tickets will be released later this week. Go Lions!!

Our Vernon Lions will take on Clyde in the bi-district round of the playoffs and Friday's dress-up theme and Pep Rally theme is "Lei Out the Bulldogs." Wear your favorite Hawaiian gear! The pep rally will be held at 9:25 a.m., Friday, in D.O. Fulton Gym.

Our Vernon Lions have made the PLAYOFFS!!! Vernon will face Clyde in a Class 3A, D1 bi-district playoff game on Friday, Nov. 14. The game will be played at Tiger Stadium in Jacksboro. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased online. District 4-3A and THSCA passes will be accepted. No Senior Citizen passes will be accepted. Vernon will be the home team.

On Thursday, our first grade students took a field trip and visited the local Red River Valley Museum.
VISD students get a 3-day weekend this week, as there are no classes on Monday, Nov. 10, due to it being a Professional Development Day for teachers and staff.
This Friday is a scheduled Early Release Friday for Vernon ISD. We hope our students enjoy getting a head start on their weekend.
