Registration is now open for the Boys & Girls Club Basketball League for kindergarten thru 2nd grade students. The deadline to register is Sept. 22.

Please take a moment today to remember the events of 9-11-2001 and those who lost their lives that day. Also, remember the unity our country had immediately after those attacks. The UNITED States of America desperately needs that unity in these current days!

Our cafeteria was overflowing with grandparents and grandfriends this morning as they joined their little ones for breakfast as we celebrated Grandparents Day! The lines were long, the seats were full and smiles were everywhere! We appreciate all the support you give our students. It makes their day when family joins them for an activity at school.

Due to a recent law, school counselors, just like school nurses, must now have parental consent before providing routine counseling services to students. Our school counselors have a form we are asking all parents to fill out and return to their child's school. Students at Vernon Middle School and Vernon High School should have brought their form home yesterday (Monday), while students at Vernon Elementary and T.G. McCord Elementary will be bringing their form home today. Parents, PLEASE complete the form and return it to the school as soon as possible.
